Embracing our commitment to maintain and nourish the environment

• Through our corporate social responsibility program and the generosity of our associates, our customers and our business partners, The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company raised awareness and more than $4 million in funds for a number of charities serving the health and welfare of children including MDA, St. Jude’s, Alex’s Lemonade Stand, and many others.
• We also contributed food and funding to local food banks and food collection agencies such as Island Harvest, The NJ Food Bank, City Harvest, Table to Table, etc.  
• Encouraging our Associates to recycle in our offices and our stores. Providing car pool spaces at our headquarters in Montvale, installing occupancy sensors in our conference rooms and offices, posting monthly green tips on our intranet and other grassroots programs.

 We believe that we’re making a difference and we’re determined to do more.
